The majority of students in my school come from urban, low income homes. Our school is a regional vocational/technical school where students split their time between academic subjects and technical subjects. In my case I spend most of my time teaching fundamental programming concepts and employability skills to junior and senior students who have chosen programming as their area of study. Many of my seniors have the opportunity to work on co-op jobs their senior year.
