My students come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. From China, to Russia, to Bulgaria, and Cuba-we have a wide range of interests and reading levels. As a school we have taken on the Reading Workshop which ensures that each student is reading texts they LOVE and that cater to their reading levels. In order to invests students in their reading, and help them to continue reading books that encourage them to become life long learners, it is imperative that I provide them with high interests, series books.
