The students in my classroom are all unique individuals that encompass a wide range of backgrounds. They range from lower-middle class to the neediest and most vulnerable families in our community. My classroom is comprised of students from all races, religions, and family dynamics, which makes it a diverse and culturally accepted classroom environment.
At this time, I have 19 students that each require specific needs and attention in order to help them progress academically, socially and emotionally throughout the year. We have committed our classroom environment to be a place where "yet" is the key word. "I don't know how to do this...yet!" It is a positive place where students come to feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn.
