The materials from this project will make a huge difference in my students' learning because they will help my students focus longer and access challenging instruction. Some of the materials I am asking for are Flex Space Balance Ball seats, multiple Flex Space wobble stools/chairs, Flex Space wobble cushions, comfy floor seating options, and a large bean bag to fit upper elementary school students. Flexible seating will help a wide range of students - from students who are visually impaired and need a sensory seat to students who have challenges staying in their seat due to ADHD. I currently only have one stability balance seat and a T-stool in my room for alternative/flexible seating options. These flexible seating options will be used in my pull out special education academics groups (reading, writing, math, social emotional groups) and they will serve as a better selection of seating to meet my students needs as they're expected to sit for up to one hour and do academics in small groups. For a few of my students, I will send them with their flexible seating (wobble cushions or flex stability balance balls) to their general education class so they can have a better suited seat for their specific disability. This project will widely expand options for my students with special needs who need different types of seating in school. I don't have any limitations for my students' learning; unfortunately, funding falls short which can create barriers in student progress. Please consider helping me make my classroom a better learning zone for my students. I greatly appreciate it!!
