The students in my classroom come from a variety of backgrounds. However, the fact that I work in a high needs school means that most of the children live in impoverished conditions. School is their opportunity to make a better life for themselves. The children in my classroom are always eager to learn and can't wait to see what's in store for them each day. They trust me to provide for them all the tools necessary to be successful.
My classroom is rich in culture. The children are very accepting of each other's differences and are curious about the differences in cultures in our classroom. We learn as much from each other as we do from books.
