My urban, title-I school is one of the most diverse PK-8 schools in our city. Enrollment is at 495 students of whom 80% are enrolled free and reduced lunch. The student body consists of African-Americans, Hispanics, whites, multi-ethnic backgrounds, Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Native American. Twenty-percent are ESL students, with 14 different languages spoken, and 15% are special education students and having available classroom resources provided for students is a must for learning to take place.
