My students are curious, intelligent, creative, inquisitive, and talkative. They absolutely love to read. They are 5th graders and our school's first culminating class of bilingual students. The class is a mix of native Spanish speakers and native English speakers and they work together to learn both languages simultaneously. These kids have been in a Spanish Dual Language classroom since kindergarten and they are working towards a Biliteracy Award. They've gotten by without having authentic Spanish books and resources the last few years, but I know they would treasure the chance to expand their Spanish vocabulary and comprehension if given the opportunity.
