The water table will allow the children the opportunity to explore mixing colors, molding, experimenting, and interacting with peers. We also need the tops to keep the sand and water table sanitary and free from germs.
The students will be able to use the sand and water table to do lessons such as; sink or float, creating bubbles, and seek and find activities in the sand table.
The sand and water table is very important to my students because it is also a wonderful way to self soothe and relax. In my classroom I notice that water and sand play is calming and allows students who have sensory needs a place to interact with different textures in a sanitized area.
