Our students are required to complete two iPad program assignments daily, one in math and one in language arts. These programs speak to the children to guide them through it, so as you can imagine a room with 16 talking iPads gets very loud. It is also very hard for each student to focus on their work when they can hear everything around them. Unfortunately, most students to do own a pair a headphones and do not have means to purchase a pair. Our school also does not have enough extra for each student to have a pair. I would love to see each of my students succeed and grow in their reading and math through these programs, but without the ability to focus and fully hear their own, that is not fully possible.
