My students inspire me every day! Our school body consists of a largely Hispanic (57%) and African American (33%) population with a 97% poverty index. Despite many challenges, our students are motivated and determined to succeed. They have demonstrated this in their MAP and end of the year PASS scores.
We are engaging in a personalized approach to classroom instruction utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and technologies that meet our students where they are and move them to greater levels of mastery.
A key component of our personalized learning is establishing a classroom community in which all of our members are stakeholders in our success as a class as well as our individual progress. It is important to me that my students feel comfortable in our classroom, and that they have the tools that they need to experience success in their academics!
