I teach math, reading and written language to children with special needs on a Native American Indian Reservation. 100% of the student population receives free or reduced fee lunch. They live in extreme poverty, often coming to school without their basic needs being met. I can’t control their home lives, but I can create a safe environment for them to learn. They are energetic, excited to learn how to read, and curious about the world around them.
