My students are from a very rural area in South Carolina. Many of them come from single family homes, where there isn't much money to spare for non-essentials, such as computers and Internet. As a school we have an extremely high poverty level, with most of our students on free or reduced lunch. Few of our teachers live in the community, choosing to travel the extra distance to be there for our children. My students range from those well below grade level to advanced.
