As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our K-2 building is comprised of approximately 205 students, many of which come from bilingual households or receive free or reduced price lunch. We provide rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
My job as a second grade teacher is to challenge my students academically, differentiate activities to a student's level, provide a safe learning environment, build positive relationships, and so much more.
