PreK students learn best when they can manipulate materials. We are looking for manipulatives to use for play and direct instruction. Things like cubes can be used in all content areas. Plastic letters help generate interest, put the letters in hands and allow for prompting questions from teachers. Many other items can be used for small and large group instruction. In preschool we learn through play. The materials we have enhance our lessons and on-site inquiries. Items can also be shared with other classrooms in our building, benefiting many more students.
