I have amazing, loving, driven, and grateful students in my class that come to school excited to be in a caring environment and ready to learn! Being at a Title 1 school, some students come to school feed, and in new clothes, while other students come in clothes that don't fit, unbathed, and an empty stomach. The parent's of my students are supportive, but unfortunately many parents are working multiple jobs. School is a safe, caring place for these students and I enjoy providing them with a comfortable place they can come and learn! I also have a class for literacy of English Language Learners. These kids come to school with more challenges than most other students. We are a Title 1 school, and we were in turnaround last year, however as a staff we worked hard to reach every child in our school and increase test scores. We went from turnaround to improvement in a year, having our hard work pay off. Our staff and students are very dedicated and committed to learning and succeeding!
