Welcome to my class page. Thank you for taking the time and supporting my Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) students' academic, language, and social advancements through your donations.
We are a Total Communication Program on a regular education campus. We serve the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students in the West, Central, and East Los Angeles Area.
I have been teaching DHH students since 1998. I hold a B.A. in Deaf Students from CSU, Northridge. I also hold a M.A. in Special Education-with an Emphasis in Deaf Education. I love the feeling of teaching outside of the box, seeing the light turn on, and the feeling my students get when they are empowered by the knowledge they have gained.
I love teaching them about connecting to their roots, especially their indigenous beginnings and how it all supports their academic, social, and emotional development. They enjoy having access to this new information.
