The combination of reading about science topics and seeing them come to life is at the heart of this project. I would like my students to be able to read exciting, beautifully illustrated magazines about the world around them in these Scholastic Let's Find Out! issues, and have access to some great videos, which are part of the subscription, to see science in action.
Reading and seeing is one thing, but actually handling and putting plant and animal life cycles in order, is another great opportunity for my low-income students, who don't all have the opportunity to visit museums or science centers.
