Our amazing students are considered "at-risk" because they face situational life circumstances, such as parental educational attainment, lower income levels, households in which the primary language spoken is not English, and who are disadvantaged due to the levels of crime in the neighborhoods where they live.
We are committed to fostering a rich learning environment for all students in our district, but my goal for the sixth graders at Echo Loder is to provide them with opportunities to engage in the arts and sciences.
By doing this, my students become involved in active learning experiences with content that will increase the likelihood that they will have career options in our region that rely heavily on integrating science, math, and technology with creative thinking.
