These wobble chairs are just what my students need who have attention issues. I have purchased much less expensive stools for my classroom and students will often try to tip on them to move while they are reading; however, these stools are not meant for that so they end up breaking. Currently, my only other seating is the hard plastic school chairs.
I would love for my students to have more options for seating so they can get the much-needed movement they need for them to focus on. The students do have the opportunity to get up and move every twenty minutes around the room, but for many of them, this is just not enough. If my students with attention disorders were able to channel their energy and focus on their reading this would help the entire class by eliminating distractions. The time my students are in my classroom is typically the only time they will read during the day, so it is so critical that they are able to read for as much of that time as possible.
