The classrooms in our school are small and there isn’t room for a dramatic play area. Administration has kindly allowed us to set up a dramatic play area in a spare room on campus.
Help our students learn through play with these dramatic play. Our students have never had an area like this set up for them. They are very excited! They items will be used for all of our Pre-k – Kindergarten students.
I have seen them use teacher made items for play and they light bulbs go off in their heads. You can see the creative juices flowing. The only problem with teacher made items is that they do not last very long. These dramatic play items will last for many groups of students to enjoy!
I had the students give me some input on what kind of items they would like to play with. The items they chose were the Pet Vet Center and the Doctor's Office. They said they want to pretend to be Doctors and Vets. The Marketplace will help them learn about running a store. They are excited about the Train Set because we've been talking about trains and they've become infatuated with trains. They cannot wait to pretend to be conductors.
