These items will help improve the learning of my students! They love hands-on activities that help them learn through play. Each student gets a certain toy that helps reinforce their learning. Most of my students love cars and building ramps for the cars to go down to see what happens.
Watching my students explore new toys with joy in their eyes is a great experience. The cars will help my boys work harder to receive them and help them understand velocity as they build ramps to send them down. Puzzles help the students' fine motor skills and give them to opportunity to work together to finish the puzzle. The kinetic sand, Playstix, and fidget toys are great sensory items for the students to use to calm themselves or as fidgets.
The students in my room are learning their sight words and the Wikki Stix, sight word steps and building sentences will give them hands-on abilities to learn their sight words. Helping the students get toys that they find reinforcing helps them to continue growing academically. The butterflies are for the students to see firsthand the life cycle of the butterfly and allow them to take observations.
