My students are a diverse multi-cultural group. They are a reflection of America's melting pot, and their experience is limited to their own cultural heritage. Although we are in a public school, their experience is insular. They hang together; they know very little outside of their common shared heritage. They are eager to see the diversity of the world, but aren't sure how to do that. They are good hard working students who need a shared experience to celebrate the uniqueness of their backgrounds
