The school that I teach at is a small Title I school that has a diverse population. The funding that we recieve is very modest and does not cover basic supplies like ink for the copier or student workbooks.
Without the help of our willing parents, business in the community, and our PTA, we are not able to start the school year off with the supplies we need for a successful school year.
Ink for the copier will provide my students with things such as journals and handouts and also provide me quick assessments to check for understanding. We did not recieve Reading workbooks that help guide students writing so I am relying heavily on journals to get my Kindergarten students where they need to be in writing and language arts.
