As we move into the portable buildings, the floors are industrial stick on tile and are not a cozy or inviting place for my students to work and learn. Choice of seating and an aesthetically pleasing environment fosters kids' needs for security and comfort. As a result, students are motivated to collaborate and succeed! All of my rugs, tables, and lap desks were lost in the flooding! These items will be used by students daily as they find their "right spot" to learn and work with others to collaborate in groups or work on their own in their choice of seating.
