I am in a first grade classroom with 14 boys and 14 girls. Although we are in the beginning of the year, I have a group of students this year that are determined to learn and grow in their academic career. Our school is huge on the concept of tribes and making sure that everyone supports and works together to help develop their academics and social skills. In my classroom, my students are empathic to their peers and they are willing to help out their classmates to ensure everyone is learning. I also tell my students that in our classroom their isn't just one teacher, there is 29 teachers. Each and everyone of them are a teacher and they thrive on this concept, even my low struggling student.
