My students and I meet virtually every morning and they are eager to interact with one another. Students have quickly learned how to mute and unmute their microphones to be able to share their thoughts with the class, but it would be helpful if they each had their own handheld whiteboard to respond to questions and share their thinking during our daily meetings.
My students are focusing on having a growth mindset and it would be wonderful to share inspirational books with them. All students benefit from having positive self-talk, but it becomes essential when they are in a unique position of learning from their homes.
Since I have to teach all my lessons from one spot in my classroom where my technology is set up, I rely on my magnetic whiteboard behind me to present my lessons. It would be nice to have maps and math manipulatives that could work with my whiteboard so the students can refer to these during our virtual meetings and recorded videos.
