Our 200 student school has no athletic program, but we do have fifteen different kinds of gangs and new students entering every week. Our school is a stone's throw from a bus station and only a few blocks from one of the largest homeless populations in California. Our students attend the school due to a lack of credits, behavioral issues, lack of attendance, pregnancy, and other issues. They come for a new start, a second chance, perhaps even a third or fourth chance. They are kind, smart, and challenging. They change every day, they rise to challenges, and are brave. They are willing to try new things. By fundraising, you bring a new experience to a child and open their eyes to possibilities.

About my class
