My students are from various backgrounds. I am striving to find ways to help ALL of my students have access to their academic goals. This is often something as simple as listening to text while reading. This gives struggling readers as well as students who need enrichment to succeed academically.
When my students are able to hear the text being read to them, they are able to to feel their success and keep up with their peers. Often students who are new or struggling readers are able to find success by modeling their reading after reading that they hear. This is imperative for student success, self confidence, and growth.
