My dream is to create a classroom in which my students are able to learn using all of their interests and a variety of senses. Listening to books would offer a different approach to their reading. While they follow along pointing to each word, they will hear sound effects, music, and a variety of narrators using different character voices and dramatic sound effects. As the book is read, they will be developing their vocabulary, making invaluable connections, and enhancing their reading comprehension without the pressure of analyzing words in order to independently read them.
Resources for a listening center would help the students to be free to enjoy the books and build their love of literacy! The listening center activity set will also be a valuable asset.
This would be an interactive learning experience that allows the students to build their understanding of vowels, consonants, blends, and digraphs. The students would be able to independently work through lessons and then check their understanding using the accompanying CD! Just being able to listen would jump start their motivation for learning and encourage participation!
We send our sincere gratitude to you if you are able to donate this to our classroom. You would not only be making my dream a reality but supporting many sweet kindergartners for years to come! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
