I believe that having access to various reading materials in the areas of fiction like the Fly Guy set and the author studies, and non-fiction like the TIME for Kids and National Geographic sets both in print for hands-on use and having opportunities through interactive technology, will help to not only foster a love for reading, but for information processing, and with meeting students varying learning modalities, as well.
The other resources such as the clipboards will allow students mobility within the classroom giving them access to use the resources around the room, such as being able to take notes, access, document, and share information from anchor charts (written on chart paper), and also helps them effectively work in cooperative groups, in an organized fashion.
