My students will use headphones for Google Classroom assignments that have embedded videos to aid in the understanding of certain concepts. Students will also use headphones to listen to audio recording assignments that they create to defend their justification of a particular scientific concept.
Giving low-income students access to this type of technology provides opportunities for learning that they wouldn't get elsewhere. Having the resources to have audio support for online activities can really benefit both advanced and struggling learners. They could allow more advanced students to move on to more difficult and complex ideas, while allowing slower paced students to watch a video as many times as they need to understand the content.
