Our classroom lacks significant materials, especially sensory related. A table, such as this one, will increase opportunity and engagement for my students needing that sensory output, as well as get used in science activities. We also begin cooking lessons in our class units that students who may not be able to perform the fine motor skill of can explore the materials we cook within our sensory table.
The sensory table gives each student access, regardless of their disability. We can modify activities and utilize this table as a center during science and cooking lessons. I want my students to be able to learn and explore the world around them in a fun way.
