My students attend a public high school in California. We are a very diverse group with over 20 different languages spoken by our students and their families. We range from very, very low income to middle class. My students are great in English or Art or sports or whatever their niche may be. They donate their time helping others; they perform service for the school. They work hard, they have fun. Many are fantastic in math, but unfortunately many also struggle.
