Our school is located in the heart of the city. We value FIRE-focus, integrity, respect, and empathy. Our students exude these values every single day. They come from all different cultures and backgrounds and come to school ready to learn. We hope to foster a safe and welcoming learning environment for all our students. My 20 fifth graders are all English Language Learners speaking dialects of Chinese as their first language. They offer a diverse and cultured learning environment but come from families that speak limited English, therefore, limiting academic support from their homes. I wish to equip my classroom with tools and resources that will enhance their learning experience every day.
