My students are hard working seventh and eighth graders. My students come from a variety of different countries, including Iraq, Dominican Republic, and Ghana. The students have a variety of different learning and social/emotional disabilities. The majority live in public housing and have trouble affording even the basic school supplies. Despite their challenges my students come to school focused on learning, remain positive, and view their disabilities a challenges and not excuses.
