This project would provide students the opportunity to calculate volume, surface area and other mathematical concepts beyond the basics. These calculators will be utilized to analyze and solve various real world problems which would provide each student with a competitive edge as they journey through their educational career in mathematics. These calculators in the class, also provides an accommodation for those students who have educational challenges. These students have been identified as needing aides to assist their learning. While teaching mathematics, it has been observed that some students utilize calculators as a "lazy tool": however, in my classroom they will be used as needed for challenging problems.
