My students in South Los Angeles—mostly Hispanic and African-American—are eager to learn coding but lack access. When I borrowed Micro:bits from my professor, their excitement was overwhelming. Sadly, I had to return them, and we have no computer science teacher. I want to integrate coding into math and science using Micro:bit and Cutebot kits to spark curiosity, build skills, and open doors to STEM careers. This project gives underserved students the chance to experience the thrill of coding and see themselves as future innovators in tech.
