Twenty-first century learning requires changes in the classroom. Students need a classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Gone are the days of rows of desks and and boring lectures. Students are now required to work together and persevere as they problem solve through tasks and challenges.
Flexible seating provides students a choice so they can work in the setting that allows them to work most effectively. Organization and classroom furniture that provides students easy access to daily resources and materials will ensure students are always ready for any task. We need a bench, a table and an organization cart. Students deserve a classroom setting that will optimize their learning. Setting the stage for engagement really does make a difference.
