Welcome to my Donors Choose project page! My wonderful students are in third grade at Marquette Elementary School in Madison, Wisconsin. The structure of my elementary classroom reflects my understanding of the creative process. I teach through a workshop/project approach that allows for student ownership, cooperative learning, integrated curriculum, and differentiated instruction.
A main emphasis of my room is helping students become strategic learners, people who know how to learn. My goal as teacher is not only to help students understand and master the prescribed curriculum, but to help them to be independent, curious, reflective learners as well.
