Please consider helping me provide comfortable seating options for read-aloud, group work, mini-lessons, and independent work time! :) I'm trying to provide as many options for flexible seating so children can be comfortable while they learn. We meet on the carpet a lot for read-aloud and mini-lessons so the kiddos have an opportunity to get out of their desks and hard chairs. We learn best when we feel safe and comfortable. That being said I also provide a lot of opportunities to read and write independently around the room, so having some cozy options make it much easier to focus on reading and writing. I also provide opportunities for group and partner work, where kids like to move around the room as well. In addition, you may have noticed the colors of the pillows and rug! Our classroom is all blue and gold to remind us that we are Oxford Wildcats and Oxford Strong! Minimizing how many colors I have going on in the room makes it less chaotic and more soothing while also celebrating our hometown pride & love! Thank you for your support of our Wildcats!
