As the techbrarian, I get to see every one of the 400 students in our school. I serve as a technology teacher, librarian and maker space teacher. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds. Through a grant, we have become a Leader in Me school. This means are students are studying habits that will help them become great leaders in the future.
At Hollister Elementary, we take our mission statement, "We are a family of life long learners and leaders very seriously." They know that no matter what their background is, they have a chance to change their future. Many students are finding ways to serve as leaders in our school. Students run our assemblies, greet students coming to school each morning, and even create a weekly broadcast for our school.
