These ukuleles will help my students understand harmony. Ukuleles are the perfect instrument for our students first learning about chords and how they function in a song.
5th Graders will be using these ukuleles to accompany themselves as we make music in class and will team up to create their own songs as a culmination of their elementary music studies. 5th Grade students will work in teams to write a song, learn to play it on the ukulele, add any additional instruments and perform the song for their class. This will help build a community within our school of tuneful, beatful, and artful musicians who can work together to build each other up and create a beautiful musical experience.
