My third graders sit on the rug for whole class direct teaching lessons and as a flexible seating choice many times throughout the week. I have noticed over the years that it can be hard to maintain good listening posture for a lot of my students when sitting on the floor. I have experimented with yoga blocks for helping students sit in a more upright position which in turn helps them attend to the lesson and be more engaged in their learning.
I would like a block for each child so they can enjoy another way to be involved in their classroom learning environment.
