The leveled readers will be used as a differentiating resource for small group instruction. In my classroom, I have first graders that have reading levels ranging from A to I. The leveled readers will help progress monitor students and teach core story elements in both fiction and non-fiction at their instructional level. The 100 Words Kids Need to Read by 2nd Grade will be used as a supplemental evaluation tool to help me make important instructional decisions. All these instructional tools are vital in order to help me determine the best educational practices for my students and the unique learning needs.
