My students are energetic Kindergartners who come from varied backgrounds. They love to learn, and are very motivated, especially when it comes to anything tech related. A majority of our population is considered socioeconomically disadvantaged. A large number do not have access to computers and technology at home. With the Sphero 2.0 robotic spheres and tablets to program them, I hope to spark a desire for them to further investigate programming. By introducing them to basic programming skills now, I hope they will be more likely to consider that career path later in their education. I want them to know that it doesn't matter where someone comes from. We all can learn and grow, and this will be a fun way to learn!
