These iPads will make a HUGE difference in my students learning simply by them being available. My students are already very comfortable navigating iPads and related devices and having them in the classroom to support them and their creativity throughout the day, will enhance any idea and make lessons come to life. I truly feel that these devices will provide them the opportunity to stay connected and engaged to what they are learning and take control of how they learn.
As I teach during this pandemic, each student having their own device at their fingertips can make a lesson about our community much more personal and interactive.
Students can feel as if they are in control of their learning and scan a QR code that brings them directly to their tasked assignments. These materials will not leave the school building, they will stay in our classroom and students will be responsible for maintaining their device, keeping it clean and charging it. This, in turn, is a great skill for my students to have and it promotes independence and accountability.
