Foundations Academy is a combination class that focuses on a strong foundation of literary and mathematical skills. Students will have the opportunity to have individualized instruction to purse enrichment opportunities. I will have 26 fun-loving first/second graders. The laughter and learning that goes on in my room is contagious. Whether the students are learning how to write a sentence or learning how to tie their shoes, every moment I'm in my room is a teachable moment. My classroom is a home away from home. I love my students as if they were mine. By showing my students I care and love them makes the world of difference. I have such a passion for learning and making sure each student soars and is ready for second grade. I teach at a high poverty school with many students that have needs that I want to fulfill. I want to be sure that they have everything that they need in order to become the best they can be.
