Flexible seating is a priority in my classroom because it increases student engagement while simultaneously allowing students to move productively. I want to empower students by giving them the choice of how they learn and create a harmonious community within our room. Additionally, several students would benefit from the sensory input caused by flexible seating, which helps students to focus and process information. The goal of this project is to empower students to take control of their own learning. I want students to feel comfortable in the classroom and know that their voices matter.
