My students are eager to learn and excel in school. Some of my students need a little more help than others. I would like to give all of my students the opportunity to grow as a student and more importantly, a well rounded citizen in our community. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Many of my students go home and have no one that will read to them or even help them with homework. My school is considered Title 1, with 70% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Many of our school's funds are allocated to help with the upkeep of our school and necessary supplies to keep the school running. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide everything needed for my classroom. With the help of this grant, I would be one step closer to helping my students succeed in all subject areas.
