I have the pleasure of coming to school each day and working with 23 "Smarties" that are eager to learn. Although they are active and energetic, they want to be successful despite any other challenges they face at or away from school. Our school is a Title One school that serves a wide range of students; a large, low socioeconomic population, as well as English as a second language learners to a small middle class population. We have a very high percentage of students that receive free and reduced price lunch, and all students receive a free breakfast. We have teamed up with a local food bank that provides "packs" of food sent home with many students on Fridays so that they have food over the weekend.
